"Beethoven" artists' folder

In its 222nd Gewandhaus Orchestra season of 2002/2003 the Gewandhaus Orchestra conducted by Prof. Herbert Blomstedt, the Chief Conductor of the Gewandhaus Orchestra, will perform a cycle of all symphonies by Ludwig van Beethoven. On this happy occasion Sparkasse Leipzig and the Gewandhaus theatre at Leipzig will issue an art folder. This graphics folder, which is artistically designed by Prof. Gert Wunderlich, includes copperplate prints, etchings, dry-point engravings, and lithographies by nine famous Leipzig artists on the subject of BEETHOVEN.

The revenue of the sale of this folder, of which only 70 copies will be published, will be donated for the restoration of the Schweinefleisch-Mendelssohn organ in the Resurrection church in the borough of Leipzig-Möckern.
