The Art Exhibition Hall is accommodated in one of the oldest former locations of the Sparkasse Leipzig in the City of Leipzig. Acquired in 1914 by the Savings Bank, it used to be its main office during World War II, until expropriated in 1950. Since 1994 it is again owned by the Savings Bank and has undergone major refurbishment. The Art Exhibition Hall is accommodated on 352 qm of exhibition space in the extension built in 1924, located directly on the banks of the Pleisse river.
